I feel like I've been taking crazy pills. When I turned 19 my body took me for a ride. In one year I gained 100 lbs. It took me three years to lose it all. I developed acne when before I would only get an occasional blemish. I started growing hair in un-female friendly places. My menstrual cycle slowed to about 6 per year then I stopped completely. I went to my gynecologist for my yearly and she put me on the pill. While I got my period back nothing else has recified itself. I've been struggling with this for the past six years and I'm tired of it but none of my doctors believe me. After exhaustive research I've narrowed it down to a possible case of PCOS but I don't know what kind of doctor to see.

The Primary care doctor may run some of the tests to rule out things like another hormone disorder called Cushings' which has some similar symptoms to PCOS but I would recommend consulting an endocrinologist as well to see what they think.

See an endocrinologist...have hormone levels checked as well as thyroid. Stick with a gynecologist for the female issues, but this sounds more hormonal, and for that an endocrinologist is your best choice
