How many Grooves, are on one side of a 45 rpm vinal record
( remember the old ones with the big holes in the center)

There's only one - it just spirals in towards the center, and the needle follows it to produce a continuous sound.

It depends on how long the song is if you mean how many rows there are.
The disc is carefully etched with a certain spacing in one continuous groove. It's technically 2 grooves if you count the test cut made to...test the cut. And yeah, this is for all those big old vinyl records recorded with a machine called a lathe.

What an interesting to me baffling Q, One that would never
enter my mind!
But I certainly do recall the records, I still have a few when I bought them too many years ago!
Just could not part with a few very favorites, even tho. they are
not played, Should send them to my nephew one of these days, He has a 45 juke box.
