since most doctors use lunar months to count by 40 weeks = 10 months at 32 weeks your are 8 months at 36 weeks you will be 9 then your due date is the 40 week mark making it 10 months of pregnancy

This is something a lot of moms-to-be find very confusing. I know I had a hard time keeping track of it.

Pregnancy "months" are not exactly the same as calendar months. A term pregnancy is supposed to be 40 weeks (which is not exactly 9 months), but can be anything from 37-42 weeks. That makes it even harder to work out!

Then add in that doctors count from the first day of your last period, which is likely about 2 weeks before you actually conceived, and it gets very confusing indeed!

Unlike age in years, where we don't say "I am ten years old" until we have actually lived for ten whole years, we say "I am 8 months pregnant" at the *start* of the 8th month (so it would be like saying "I am ten years old" right after our 9th birthday, because we are starting the tenth year).

Take a look at this website: http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html

Pregnancy is not timed from conception but from the first day of the LMP (Last Menstrual Period). The reason for this is that the time of conception cannot be accurately determined as ovulation time may vary from one individual to the other.
Hence, two weeks after conception, you are still called 4 weeks pregnant on the basis of your LMP. This is now accepted as a general way of timing pregnancy. An average pregnancy lasts for 40 weeks after LMP although it could range from 37 to 42 weeks.

Obstetrical care providers always use "weeks" when they talk about estimated gestation, or how far along you are in your pregnancy. This presents a problem for many pregnant women, because the majority of pregnant women think about how far along a pregnancy is in "months." There are good reasons why care providers use weeks instead of months for estimated gestation. A pregnancy is a rapidly moving event and a lot happens in a short time. A month is too long of a time period to be of any practical use when you're making medical decisions about a pregnancy. Another problem is that there is no agreement on what it means to be "six months" pregnant. Some people say that they are six months pregnant when they are in their sixth month of pregnancy, while others say that they are six months when they have completed their sixth month of pregnancy. This isn't a problem if you use weeks, because, at least in the United States, it is universally accepted that weeks gestation always refers to completed weeks of gestation. You say that one month is approximately 4 weeks long (even though some are longer), so then you just divide how many weeks you are by 4...so you are 8 months pregnant.

By society, I'd say 8/ but realistically, you're about /10. Conception begins at around week one, so add that to the number of weeks you've counted, about 10. Congratulations!

try this website.......if gives you weeks and months by your due date.

I gestimated that if you are 32 wks then you should be due around the 23 december which would put you at

7.2 months pregnant.

8 lunar months, entering the 9th lunar month.

Since lunar months are shorter than calendar months, if you're going by calendar months you can count back calendar months from your due date to see how many calendar months along you are.
