Would need more details to diagnose, like does their slime coat look like it is disintegrating? or do they have any white patches or spots on them? As for your current tank mates, I have heard of a number of people that have kept BKN fish with discus without incident, but keeping angels in the same tank is usually discouraged as they can exchange diseases. If you are interested in good discus tank mates look for fish that thrive in soft and hot water like cardinal tetras and german blue rams. Discus can be tricky as they are extremely sensitive to water quality and will start to look ill at the first undesirable spike. Check you ammonia/nitrogen levels to see if they are in the optimal ranges and other than that adding a little aquarium salt (1 tbs per 10g) and mixing a 50/50 RO (reverse Osmosis)/ regulate tap water might help them recover sooner, good luck.

Discus are very faint of heart, and even the slightest scare or spike can cause them to exhibit this behavior. Just be sure to keep their water nice and clean, and keep them with small, slow moving fish like Tetras, and you should see them slowly improving. They usually recover from this strange behavior quite quickly, but providing them with a lot of cover in the form of plants helps a lot. I would definitely keep them away from the Gouramis and Angels as they can bully the Discus at times. The Knife might be okay, but you may not want to risk it. Email me if you have any questions.

Nope. Discus want warmer water, (over 28C) and water situations might desire to be appropriate, which they wont be with an Oscar in there. they're additionally quite shy fish, and wont do properly with the Oscar and Silver shark charging around in there. Ian
