Most retirees do the same things other people do. Retirees are all individuals, just like people of any age group. I'm 51 and many of my friends are in their 70's. We go shopping, to lunch, festivals, parks, church, visiting, traveling, reading, computers, etc. Some go to classes-exercise, crafts, continuing education, etc. My mom went dancing (she's 71), until just a couple yrs ago when she got an illness that causes numbness in her feet. There is no end to the list of things retirees do.

What spare time? Are you talking about the two hours after I get up before I start my chores, or the hour before I head to bed? That's my "myself" time that I use to read, play computer games (tame stuff like solitaire and word games) and go to Y/A and visiting our new Yahoo! senior group site.

Jet ski, ride horses, hike, dance, in other words, mostly do what I did before I retired, except I now work for me.
