we sure need to fix some few points in our way of life for example;
we need to learn to WORK more than we talk and don't be suspicious of any thing new just because it's new. and we MUST stop judging things from the appearances.

We are the same as any other society or country passed through a lot of wars in few years & also.........overpopulated . But we are criticising ourselves toooooooooo much more than others do.

we have to be ourselves & not to imitate others by any mean.

No, it's not OK.
Look at our ideas towards education,marriage & you will know.
Look at our beliefs toward thgs like "Se7r" for exaple & you will discover that it's not OK at all ( I belive that there is black magic as it's found in holy Quran but look how we deal with it).
You can look at most of our thoughts & you will find the same.The problem is that when we started to change this thoughs we went to the oppisit like westren whcih is wrong also.

I don't think that they are OK at all:

we are a nation that watches a movie with a belly dancer scene, it get cut for the Azan, we say as Azan & close our eyes for humility and then the belly dancer continue it's dance and we continue watching (not all of us)

we are doubling our standards from many years ago, until it became standards mixture, that have one color only that became so hard to be separated & separation need hard work, persistence & time

speaking as a tourist i do find you have a tendency to look on the dark side of things. many Egyptians seem to get fed up and depressed easily, it seems to be a kind of Egyptian way of thinking.
there are other things too but i can only deal with so many thumb downs i will get paranoid and depressed!!

i think that we all,government,and all ppl suffer from sth called ''tanbala'' i dunno if it's because of the beans or what but i think that all our problems comes from ''tanbala''
the governement is ''metanbela'' doesnt care about the ppl,and it doesn't apply the rules to get every person's right
and the ppl are ''metanbelen'' and they got used to being suffocating by the regime and don't ask for their rights...
wa hakaza....that's my opinion...

edit:
from the great signs that ''tanbala'' is deep in egyptians since a long time ago,is ''al kateb al masry'' statue,u see him sitting comfortably waiting for ppl to come to him to finish their papers :D
