It is micrometer

in biology it is also called micron simply.

It accounts for 10^(-6) meter.

As the other answerers said it is the micrometer or 10^-6 meters.
The symbol 'µ' is the Greek letter mu. Pronounced 'myoo'. But you don't say mu meter, you say micrometer.

the sigular like funky u means micro, the "m" is for meters, so micrometers, you can have micro liters, it is 10^-6
