I work in the special needs area at a vocational center...
...you can put a maracca in a person's hand and help them grasp it and help them shake it and hit it on the table-any skill level will enjoy this with hand-over-hand assistance
...for a blind person you can attach different textered items to a peg board with shoestrings and put their hands on the items to feel them. you can also attach the peg board to a wheelchair tray
...we go on outings to the animal rescue league a lot, or to parks to watch or just listen to kids playing
...look up local free concerts in the local newspaper or a local website and plan a picnic to listen to live music
...local children's theater; sometimes discount tickets are offered if you call ahead and ask
...story time at the library
...arts and crafts, simple things, they have kids' craft books at the library, and arts and crafts stores have kits with all the supplies included that are needed to make an entire project
...go to a dog park and just watch the dogs play with each other
...go to a zoo, a botanical center, or a science center
...go to an aquatic center or indoor rec center for a swim- a lot of pools these days are zero-depth entry which means you can wade in or push a wheelchair in, and the pool provides water wheelchairs for patrons' use. once in the water a wheelchair user can be unstrapped and float around freely in the water in their life jacket WITH NO WHEELCHAIR which is REALLY EXCITING for them and also for me to see!! But you have to stay with them at all times, of course. It is great physical therapy and range of motion exercise for them
...it is always a good idea to work on small motor skills, color matching, categorizing, accuracy and measuring, social skills in public such as interacting with store clerks, waitresses and waiters, cashiers, etc...
I hope these were helpful and relevant ideas for you!

Well, its hard to say since you don't give any information on the nature of the impairment.
But if this person can enjoy fishing and cinema, as you say, there's an almost infinite number of things to do. Try getting on soe websites for the disabled and see what suggestions they have--or ask questions.
But--you need to say WHAT the disability is. Otherwise, no one is going to be able to give you n appropriate answer. If this child is deaf, fo rinstance, a concert wouldn't domuch for him. If he's mobility impaired, activities need to be geared to that. Etc., etc., etc.

music is always the answer, a concert perhaps or even just listen...
i don't mean to sound patronizing, but maybe some simple percussion instruments could be fun, like a tambourine or a cabassa.
just an idea :-)

kind of hard to say really when you don't tell us the disability. As far as I know, what -couldn't- you do with them that you could do with someone else? Go play ball or do gardening or find a concert he/she might enjoy. Whatever floats your boat.

Just do the simple things in life. Enjoy a stroll in a park, or go to a zoo.

Try to find where each one's talent is. Most have one, sometimes its extraordinary. Let them listen to some music and try to get them to play piano or something like that, Also painting or drawing, you just never know what kind of talent they have.

Do anything you would do with any kid. Ask them what they like to do. Ask their parents what they have done with them in the past.
