I'm forever putting on chapstick (different sorts), but my lips are always chapped. Does chapstick make lips more chapped sometimes, or does anybody have any ideas that may help me?
Thank you!

Waxy lip balms can seal out moisture as well as sealing it in. So in a way, waxy lip balms can keep your lips dry.

I also avoid products w/ salicylic acid, mint, camphor, methol, etc. because they tend to irritate my lips.

Exfoliate your lips gently by making a paste of white sugar & honey. Rub the paste gently against your lips & rinse off well. Apply a lip treatment immediately.

You can also apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly & brush away flakes gently w/ a soft toothbrush.

My favorite lip moisturizers are Aquaphor Healing Ointment & Neosporin lip treatment.

I tried Blistex herbal answer and in three days my chapped lips became softer and better.
You might have some food allergy and this one sounds weird but check your toothpaste, it might be giving you allergy and chapped lips are one of the symptoms.

Dont lick them!!

Dont pick at them.

Carmex is the best stuff for chapped lips!

I use Vaseline.
When you put it on it actually relieves your lips and doesn't make them burn.
I also use Neospirin Medical Treatment sometimes, but Vaseline is a better choice.
Blistex is another option because its cool, but I find that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

i used to have a big problem with chapped lips also. i used blistex and carmex but i found out that they are addictive, if you don't use them your lips get worse. i don't know if they have it where you live but see if you can find Lucas' Paw Paw Balm or something equivalent it's completely natural and not addictive.

Do you smoke? the filters suck moisture outta your lips.
Dont use chapstick with menthol - its drying.
Try finding one made with beeswax or mango butter
I dunno why, but they work better
Chapstick makes one in a beige tube that gets my vote
