i bought a new amd athlon x2 5600+ and mobo asus m2n-e sli....i put the processor in the mobo slot properly......then the heatsink...the retention mechanism on my heatsink seems a bit different from the pictures in the manual...but i fit the fan in firmly....also made the heatsink fan connection on the mobo...also installed all other stuff like graphics card.....ram....power connections...now when i turn on the pc....a led on the mobo lights up....indicating its on.....but the cpu heatsink fan isnt rotating....another thing....my psu fan connector has 4 pin type connection and mobo pwr fan connector has 3 pins....so i dnt knw how to fit it in....could it be because of this that the power fan cant turn on and so the cpu fan doesnt work?also which thermal paste can i use now....since i've removed the heatsink from the cpu?

Hi. Last first. Use Arctic Silver. Best I've used. First last. Your PSU HAS to provide enough power for every device you run. I use a 550 watt Antec unit and never has a PSU problem. Your needs are greater than that, so power up accordingly! Good luck (and glad you built your own).
