I think it should be legalized and taxed just like alcohol and tobacco. I think it should be illegal to grow or cultivate and only the gov't can grow, i think that is fair, and would prevent most people from growing their own so the gov't can make most of the profit.

Well, I think there is nothing to think about. I happen to enjoy a little of God's given Gift. The problem is everyone who sticks up their noses at something that is nature made, by the hands of the Big Ma Ma herself! Mother Nature! And who is the person that put it in the category of a drug anyways? Who are they? The Master? The answer to all questions? Your Boss? Your God? That is just one persons opinion, and all the others just wanted to be accepted,so they agreed. Bulls are every where don't you know? And they sure make a mess!

The laws surrounding cannabis are completely false and misleading.
I would much rather alcohol be illegal then weed. Weed doesn't tear up families and cause people to get in car crashes which claims lives.
The government says weed causes crashes because it stays in your system for up to 4-8 weeks which means that is an example of how misleading they are.
Weed should be taxed and regulated just like tabacco is. All non violent drug offenders with no history of violence should also be set free.
This is why it is important people vote. The perfect person to right all these wrongs is Ron Paul. Ron Paul 2008, Hope For America.

My thought. I'm 69 years old and although I don't believe in taking controlled substances without a prescription I do believe the government has a responsibility to insure that patients have what ever chemical is necessary for their quality of life. My mother had glaucoma, and refused to smoke because she didn't want to go to jail. At that time not all states allowed it for medicinal purposes.
I can tell you right now if I get glaucoma my fear will be non existent.
If I could give it to my dog who has glaucoma I would.

It grows out of the ground, and no chemicals are needed to manipulate it. The only reason it is illegal is Henry J. Anslinger. Look him up. Also, watch the documentary 'GRASS' in your local movie rental place. Woody Harrelson does the voice-overs.
Alcohol is MUCH worse in ALL aspects.

I think America should leave all drugs alone unless perscriberd by their drs. and even that deserves a comfort zone before taking. Weed? why is any drug a need?
