What message do those who give out the prize say about the "humanity" of the accomplishments of person receiving the prize? If there was such a thing as the total opposite of a nobel peace prize, like a "war" prize or "hateness and divisiveness" prize, what kind of people would the nobel people give that one too?

For some but for everyone else no. Of all the Noble prizes it has always been the most controversial and political.

Nobel peace prize is given to political prisoners, dissident authors, exiled rulers and a few institutions like Red cross etc. It is a great honor. If nobody is available the prize goes to Amnesty International.

It's a joke. Adolf Hitler was nominated for the prize. So was Stalin. Yasser Arafat (the palestinian terrorist leader that orchestrated the death of many innocent Israelis) won the prize. The person against Gore, whom saved 1500 Jewish children from death at the hands of the Nazi's lost to his phony documentary full of lies and half truths.... What does that tell you about the Nobel PEACE Prize?

I don't think there's a hateness and divisiveness prize or a war prize. The Grammies might be be close to that though.

No, the Nobel peace prize has become too politicized, it doesn't mean anything anymore. I'm sure the radical left will give Al Sharpton a Nobel peace prize for agitation.

Not since Al Gore won it. All he accomplished with his Global Warming was cause a lot of unnecessary fear in children.
Global Warming still has not been proven to be a FACT.

It used to be, but in recent years, it's presenters have become more interested in making political statements than focusing on the worthiness of its recipients.

They have cheapen and tarnished the award in the process
