The Plagues of Egypt are the ten calamities inflicted upon Egypt by God in the Bible (as recounted in the book of Exodus, chapters 7 - 12), in order to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelite slaves leave.
Moses put his arm out at God's command and the waters parted. Moses crossed approx 1445BC with over 3 million people.

He didn't ever divide the Red Sea. To that would be a denial of the natural laws which govern the way the world operates and which are never broken.
