Because for some people, roughing it is slow room service. My wife is like that. I spent many years in the boy Scouts and the Army so I've done my share of camping. As long as I didn't have to sleep on the ground, I'd be up for it.

I LOVE to camp .. love the outdoors, like outdoor activities, enjoy campfires, grills, watersports, and everything associated with camping!
But .. I am NOT typical (of the Empty-Nesting Female Retirees) ... there are those who do NOT like the Bugs, the outdoor activities, the lack of a bed (hey, some people don't like to sleep in sleeping bags or on the ground!), some HATE campfire cooking, some folks can't deal with the lack of Bathroom facilities (like a bathtub or jacuzzi), some don't like the heat/cold, and there are those who just don't like exercise (hiking, walking, climbing, swimming, whatever form exercise is).

People who hate camping are people who have not experienced the true life of living in nature and appreciate it. I LOVE camping.

If I could figure out how to take a box fan and make it run all night long so I could sleep, I would love camping, ohhh someday I WiLL Figure it out! haha:)

bugs, dirt, wild animals, sleeping on the uncomfortable ground, lack of a modern clean toilet, & having 2 wash from a bottle/container of water.
