Okay so open up your ipod & itunes.
You should have this USB cord that came with your ipod, connect the cord with the ipod and computer. Then Itunes should load and you have to install/download this plugin for itunes. After that is done, name your ipod, options. Then it should sync all the songs on your ipod.
If you need help, look at the instructions that came with your ipod. or go to www.apple.com
hope i helped :)
xx

download itunes first
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
and when you've got it open you go File>Import Songs, or drag in the songs into the library (the main space in the middle), plug in your nano and you just drag the songs from the big space into your nano files
if it's too hard there are official tutorials:

You need to convert them to AAC. Go to the advance option, select your non purchased music, convert and synch.
