Too many things during, and after, the Attitude Era were extreme and unnecessary.

A lot of angles, such as Undertaker sacrifices, a lot of explicit jokes, and horrible storylines and actions (such as Kientai trying to cut off Val's penis) needed to cease. They were giving Vince McMahon and the WWE a really bad name, despite the ratings the show received. Also, a lot of characters that made the Attitude Era are not in the WWE any longer.

Actually, much the Attitude Era was way too over-the-top, especially compared to today's wrestling, which wants to get away from a lot of the extreme controversy and insane-ness that was the Attitude Era. That's why it seems "kid friendly." When you get things like Mae Young giving birth to a hand & Katie Vick, it's time to tone things down a bit.

I guess too many kids are wrestling fans, and WWE now finds ways to make money off them (ex. Cena and all his merch) so they make the industry kid friendly so they sell more and make more $$$. Just a theory.

I hate wrestling that is aimed at kids,DAMN! bring back some Attitude.

Yeah WWE wants to tone things down but they still need to put on a good show,WWE hasn't put a good show on in years and look what happened, nobody watches it.Just because WWE haven't got competition yet(TNA is coming)it doesn't mean they can't put on a good show.

True.

When it became WWE...

It was more like a label of a TV show than a Wrestling Company that knew how to use cameras.

No More DX, no more Austin...
