I own a Gateway Mx7337 notebook, can anyone assure me that it isn't possible to change the sound card?

Go to gateways website to be sure, but very very few laptops have a dedicated sound card. There simply isn't room in most. Thus they have onboard sound, built into the main board.

That does not have a sound card. It is on the MOBO. You can get a card to up grade it though, the same as you could get a video or TV card for it.

Get an external sound card that can hook up to a USB port. Of course this isn't convenient for carrying around with you, but for home use...

I don't think so, cause it's a built in Sound Card, the chipset of this is already in your mainboard, it will only damage the whole system if you try.

Better not to try
