This certainly may get me thumbs down; but YIKES... NOTHING "Busy" at all.

With all due respect; most walls are finished to co-ordinate with the balance of colors and textures of the room; NOT the other way around. It may be that your re covering an existing sofa? OR purchasing a new sofa? Hopefully the carpet color fits in with EVERYTHING.

No florals/ no more stripes/ no squares/checks/ no major tapestry look. At this point you might find the major color in the paper and go muted with the sofa; in a solid.

Certainly answers here are personal opinions; and no one is strictly right or wrong; I'm just offering my two cents. In the end it falls on you and your opinion. It may be that you want the sofa to be VERY obvious?

Bold colour stripe match to pastel muted pattern including colour in stripe.
Soft colour stripe pick main colour with muted pattern.
Does not need to be floral could be soft abstract and lift with drapes, cushions, throws etc. Also look at size of room and size of stripe colour as to much will close the room in.
Consider colour of furniture as that will make a big difference to impact.Consider taking samples to shops and look at the two together out in natural light.
Happy decorating.

Floral, with major colours that are in the wall paper. Blends well. Or just plain and pick up colours of the wallpaper with throws and cushions. And ornaments, like Vases. don't go for floral that have too many colours, it starts to look like an old Victorian lounge or whatever. Unless that is the look you want.

SOLID. Please, do NOT get a floral print against a striped wall. It will look entirely too busy and not in any way warm and inviting. Find the main color of your room and get a solid colored sofa in the color family.

Floral does. It you look at the trim that sometimes goes with striped wall paper; it is generally a floral pattern.
