None of the principles that America was founded on have managed to survive. There is no equality and no leadership. Millions die on the street everyday due to a lack of health care and corruption permeates our local and federal governments.

All one has to do is look at what other successful countries have done to see what we need to do to get back our global respectability. Countries like China, Cuba, and Russia have done a far better job. How do we the people convince our government that we are fed up with this crap?

America sucks, because 90% of the population is either brainwashed by religion, borderline retarded, completely naive, or doesn't speak English.

What 'America'? Why don't we just give in and call it 'the North American UNION' - us + Canada+Mexico. I thought it would have been cordial to mention this to the citizens who's country this is.
Oh, freedom, yes, you have the freedom to agree with everything the Govt wants or does.
Did someone say establishing Democracy somewhere? Why didn't they tell the 'intel' guys who aided in the overthrow of 50 countries.
I'm part of why this country sucks. I just heard this the other day about, Che'(a freedom fighter who called us Imp's way back then), Pinochet responsible for horrible deaths, the 53' incident in Ir_n that yrs later led to the I_tol_h and now 'peak oil' that is whetting the mouths of those like Rich Perle who wants 'TOTAL WAR-ALL OUT WAR'.
I never even thought it might be a good idea to look into the life of someone I was voting for to be responsible for the well-being here. Much has been 'covert' but probably still there if I'd taken the time. Now people with relatives who helped the nazis-I feel sad for the future of the children as well who don't buy into thisNWO.

Vote. Also, once we get Bush out of the White House, I think the next president will make every effort to regain respect for America.

My local & state government is not corrupt nor do I believe that the feds are either. But at any level you'll find corrupt people - haven't you noticed they are either fired or made to resign?

As for millions dying in the streets - me thinks that you have nothing with which to back your
statement! A wild exaggeration. I live in a large city & in the past 15 years, 3 street people have died; two were murdered & what died of exposure.

There is no one in this city (and probably every city) who needs to go hungry what with several places which provide meals daily for the poor and homeless, the churches & Meals-on-Wheels. A lot of wonderful people volunteer to make this possible.

Don't be so pessimistic - I truly believe that once Bush is out of office, morale will improve & our faith in our government will increase.

America does suck too an extint. the reasons why are this country is full of ignorant complacent people who are just unaware, too distracted by what tom cruise is doing. or just too apathetic to do anything about the way this country has gone down the toilet. we are one of the worst of the major nations in primary education, religious zealots and power hungry so-called dogooders ruin our government, we have a two party election system that doesnt work, our borders are being overrun by god knows who coming in, drugs and poverty are taking over. we need a significant change. the bad thing is most people dont realize how messed up this country really is. the bad part is anytime you point it out somebody tells you to get out if ya don tlike it or theres nothing "i" can do about it. we need to stop electing these people who keep screwing it up democrats and republicans alike are killing this country. they keep the public squabbling over goofy issues and slowly but surely turn us more and more to a facsist emperialistic nightmare. dude the only thing i dont agreee with you on is the communist countries man. communism is horrible. russia collapsed because they couldnt raise enogh money, cuba about the same, the only reason china has looked so well is because they are not truly communist they have adopted alot of capatilist ideals and have used them rather well.

Actually, i think America could be MUCH better than it is today if people deicided that it was in their best interest to go out and do their best for themselves and their neighbors. Instead, we sit back in our little isolated worlds and expect the government to take care of the poor and the sick and we just go along our merry way. It's really sad that we haven't realzied that we need the human connection to truly evolve as people and grow into great leaders, into great citizens.

I'm not sure that I agree that China, Cuba and Russia have done a better job. Having been to China and Cuba... (I haven't been to Russia so I can't speak for them but I do remember the bread lines)... there are plenty of sick and suffering but the government denies it and keeps cameras away so no one knows.

But I do agree - we as a country can do far better. Do your part individually. Reach out to someone you haven't reached out to before and see how much of a difference you can make.

You say there is no equality and there is corruption and that russia, china, and cuba are ina abetter condition? Have you ever been to Russia? Russia is built on corruption and over there if you are not one of them, then you will either get beat up or killed right in front of the "cops". And if you don't like america you can get the **** out and go survive over there.

This is America. You are free to fail or succeed based on your own ability. Many of the most successful businessmen in our country have seen their share of failure before being successful. True freedom can be a scary thing, it requires that you also be responsible. Do you want freedom? Do you want a government that provides you with everything? That isn't freedom.

Countries like Russia? Like when Stalin slaughtered 20 million of his own people due to his paranoia?

Countries like China? They put the person on trial, one appeal, shoot them, and bill the family for the ammo.

Countries like Cuba? It's so great there that people try to get over to Florida on anything that will float.

America is no longer a country, "By the people for the people", it's now a country, by the Corporation, for the Corporation. See the movie, "Roller Ball". The original version staring James Caan.

well....i think you must be referring to the united states and not America as a whole. that aside, if I'm not mistaken we still adhere to the bill of rights, are governed by an electorate chosen by the people for the people, and given statistical data if a million people died everyday you wouldn't exist.

you are crazy and your facts are wrong. we are all equal in the eyes of the law. Maybe we aren't equal in the eyes of each other, but leagally we are. Millions of people don't die here everyday, and that includes people with or without health care. China, Cuba, and Russia have way more problems than we do. They might have better statistics, but it is easy to fix statistics under a facist or communist regime.
