First of all if you know someone thats good. But if not you need to get on the street and hustle.Let people know who you are get your CD'S out there talk to the local stations try to get in some typr of rotation.I promise CEO'S listen to the radio to lol.And if you get a fan base that gets there attention also you make hot tracks people are gonna talk. You can always try to send you demo in but I promise 95 % of the time unless there a small label there not gonna hear your stuff.Reason why I say that is i personally know a C.E.O of a label down here and he gets over 200 demo's a day no lie.So if you dont have a name he's not gonna listen. What a few people I know did was got on a local independant label and there trying that hoping one of the big boys notice them.Like I said if you get a fan base there gonna pay attention to you

getting a deal these days is not the best way to make money. the label takes everything. if you want to make money off of music, do everything independantly. create your own label and put out your own albums. do your own marketing. then, when you sell albums for $10 or $15 you get to keep the entire profit rather than getting two cents per album.

then, if you get to the point that you are selling 50,000 albums yourself, the labels will look at you a lot more seriously and give you a better deal because they know you are a serious player in the music business. but at that point you might choose not to do that because you'll be getting all of the money from your albums and making 6 figures, probably more if you're touring.

Make a myspace page and put your music on there. Thats how Sean Kingston and Cassie got deals.

myspace, youtube.

you can also send a mixtape to the record labels (interscope, geffen, def jam, etc) with your info.

thats how many people in the music industry get deals
