Actually, it started out as urban punks in jail-they took their belts and their pants didn't fit right so they slid down. I guess it was some kind of signal that you were a true criminal, that you had been in jail. I think it's hard to look tough when you have to hold your crotch to keep your pants up.

it started from a look worn in prison,so it makes people feel like there bad and tough,I hate that look
