If you have multiple lines on Verizon (2 or more cell phones) and you decide to cancel one of the cell phone lines then you would have to pay a termination fee of $175.00 plus also the current monthly bill.

As far as unlocking a Verizon cell phone so you can use it on another cell phone network, that would be difficult. The only other cell phone company that uses CDMA network would be Sprint but they both uses different frequencies on their phone and there are some compatibility issues. So this won't work.

All other cell phone carriers (T-Mobile, and A T&T) uses GSM network which requires a sim card on the back of their phones. Verizon network and phones do not uses sim cards and so their phones can't be used with GSM network.

I suggest you give your Verizon phone to someone you know that needs a phone. It won't work on another network.
