I love both the names by the way!
I had all sorts of trouble coming up with my sons name (settled on Isaac Matthew eventually) but my daughters name (eliza jasmine) came so easily. But my daughters middle name took forever because all our family names are pretty awful or already taken or i just couldn't decide on one to match the first name

Its not easy picking a name because its something that you know your child has to live with for the rest of their life and something you have to say a gazillion times a day for at least the next 18 years!
I always waited until 'that' name put a smile on my face and I kept coming back to it time and time again no matter how many other names I heard. usually you get a good feeling about a name and I say unless you are 100% happy with it then don't name your child it or you might regret it.

Addyson and patrick are wonderful names for your baby if thats what your 100% sure about.

Best of luck!

Exactly the same with me. My nan died when I was 13 and I always said that if I was lucky enough to have a baby girl she would have my Nan's name too. A very old beautiful English name too. But I wasn't so bothered about the boys name, so I got my husband to come up with the boys name, it just seemed kind of fair that way. So if the father is around let him share in some of the joy of thinking of names. Then we had a girl, so fantastic for me. The whole family love the name too, I must add. Congratulations and all the best.

my husband and I have been together since high school (8 yrs together) since then we always said that we were gonna have two girls and one boy in that order 1st girl Alayna 2nd girl Jasmine and boy we said Alex because that was the 1st name we thought of so when we found out we were pregnant last nov. we kept calling the baby Alayna when we found out the sex of the baby our mouths dropped to the floor because our Alayna was a boy seriously I got so sick while they were doing the rest of the ultrasound not because it was a boy but because I had no idea what to name him. It took us a while but finally we came across my husbands family book and we came across the name Jaanali I loved it because it was different and it has daddy's middle name in it Ali the meaning is also beautiful. I would suggest not to worry so much when you find the right name you will feel it in your heart. Congrats and good luck

Oh yeah! I love girls names, but boys, not so much. The only name I ever really fell in love with was Luke, but that's my step-nephew's name. And I have 7 girls, so I had my fun naming them. But the moment I found out I was having a boy, I freaked because I had no idea what to name him. I just kept imagining my son when he's 10 years old, with no name. But I came across the name Reese and fell in love. I hated the spellings Rhys and Reece, but Reese just popped out at me. I now have a 5 month old baby named Reese. My other kids:

Hannah
Taylor
Maggie
Audrey
Lucia (Loo-Sha)
Jordin
India
Reese

Good luck naming the baby. And just out of curiosity, what girl name are you thinking of? Congrats!

Ik! when i learned my mom was pregnant, I could think of many girls names, and came up with a good one (tessa marie), but we can't figure out ANY boy's names! And it's a boy! We were thinking about Liam, Aiden, Caden, Elliot, Christopher, and Micheal, but all of these there is at least one family member (out of my mom, my sister, my dad, and me) that doesn't like it!

I think it's because once you're pregnant, your choice in names will effect the child for the rest of his/her life. It is who they are and you're the one responsible. So now all the cute names aren't so cute anymore. When you come up with the perfect name, you'll know. It may take seeing the baby to know if the name is right or not. Congrats and good luck.

My husband and I had no trouble with a boy's name but couldn't agree on a first name for a girl.

Thankfully I haven't experienced that! I feel so fortunate that i'm male. I would hate to have to go through a pregnancy. God bless all you women who bear children!
