MY pc mic is not working. I have a hp computer. I bought it brand new for 10 fdollars.. plugged it in and it dosent have a on off switch. Why is it not working? Does it need software??

Step One: Let your dog chew on it.
Step Two: Throw the mic out the window while still holding the audio cable, close the window on the audio cable.
Step Three: Repeat step two.
Step Four: If you can't stop and think for two seconds on how something should work, you should probably go kill yourself now, because your life is hopeless.

Did you plug it into the pink plug if it is not usb?
Have you gone into control panel and setup your microphone?
Did Windows, or whatever operating system you have, detect it?
Do you have it muted?

the switch is in the volume controls now the big question is where di you get the new laptop for 10 dollors?
