It twas the night of Halloween,
The scary beasties had made the scene,
The smell of pumpkin in the air,
The wind was blowing through my hair,
I rang the doorbells one by one,
"Trick or Treat" it was such fun,
The door was answered by a hag,
Miss witch dropped candy in my bag,
I heard her cackle and say BOO,
I smiled and laughed saying, "Thank you",
Taking out a chocolate bar,
I ate it leaning on a car,
With ghosts and goblins home I head,
With belly full its off to bed.

what grade are you in? this really matters, if you are in elementary school it doesn't really matter what you write, you'll get a good mark anyway. If you are in high school (which i'm guessing that you are), and a teacher is being this specific to "appealling to all five senses" and saying all this stuff about exactly what she wants, then she's completely got the point of a poem wrong. Just think of crap, write it in a paragraph, change some of the words, then put it in a creative format.

I had to write a poem for science once (yes i know that's completly stupid). I did this and I got 90%, which was one of the highest marks in the class. the only other people who got higher marks the teacher actuall likes (the teacher hates me cuz I told her she was stupid to her face)

Halloween night about to go trick-or-treat
when the dorbell rings
no one is home except for me
so i figure i should answer it
i look outside but no ones there
so i close the door and go to get ready
but then again the doorbell rings
okay this is getting scary
i run to open it leaving my things
but yet again no one, oh man
i lock the door and walk back to my room
but the lights go of with a bang
i look around and see the figure of a broom
but it cant be, not a witch
the figure moves very close to me
i can see a pair of eyes twitch
i try to run but its too dark i cant see
i trip and fall so she comes too close
and says "hello my pretty"
i scream and yell but its no use
she now has me well in her grip
yet to my suprise i dont get hurt one bit
she sits me on her broom and up we go
saying Happy Halloween to the misfortunate
those people stuck on the ground while im flying with a witch!
