I have had 2 Percula Clownfish along with 5 pounds (I'm gonna get more) of live rock cycling my 40 gallon tank for 2 weeks.

When it finally gets cycled week after next, I want to add some more fish.

I was thinking of a Yellow Tang, shrimp, crabs, turbo snails, etc.

What fish could I add?

I also was thinking of a copper banded butterfly fish instead of the yellow tang.

Thanks for the site, but I really do need advice on what fish to get, not a site to buy them.

well im not sure that ur tank is completly cycled and by the way if u add more live rock to established tank it will start the cycling process over again and 40 gallons is way to small for a tang of any kind
40 gallon will be enough for clownfish, damsels, pseudochrimis, gobies, blennies, dartfish ,dwarf angels ,some hawkfish,jawfish,cardinals,anglers/frogfish and inverts
i made a miskate with keeping a slatwater tank i have 40 gallons as well and first fish that i bought was a naso tang i had him for over 4 weeks then i had to give him away cuz he over grow the tank
now i had only 1 clarkii clownfish,6 damsels,1 fire shrimp,1 CB shrimp and a zebra goby

I had a 55 gal tank, this is what I had. Coral beauty dwarf angel, 2 tomato clowns, Heniochus Black & White Butterflyfish, yellowhead jawfish, Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp 2, Peppermint Shrimp, Linckia Sea Star, Blue, Blue Reef Chromis.
I know you do not want wesites but this is the site I bought all my fish on. This site is cheaper than any saltwater store in my town.
