Adding more RAM is never a bad thing. But another thing you should look at is what kind of firewall/antivirus protection you have installed on your computer. The Windows firewall is inadequate. Most antivirus protection, especially Norton, is a systems resources hog. Since ATT/Yahoo is offering Norton for free, it's possible you have installed this on your system. Removed it through the ADD/REMOVE programs icon in your control panel and install COMODO Firewall Pro. It's free and it's from comodo.com. My Internet runs twice as fast now and it is a very good firewall. It's awesome actually. I paid $50.00 for Norton and it was the biggest waste of money ever. Plus their customer service is rude and totally useless.

Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!

You may have a lot of junk running.

Download Mike Lin's Startup control panel,
and uncheck everything except your antivirus/antspyware software. Don't worry, it does not delete software, it just keeps it from starting up and slowing you down. If you find out you need it, you can check the box again.

It would really help if you put your computer's spec. Hit your "window" key and your "Pause/break" key at the same time, copy that information you see and re-ask your question with that information.
