I don't think it would do anything in particular. But you could check out an old sci-fi film (I think it was made in the 50's-60's) called "The Day the Earth Stood Still." I won't give away how, but because of a couple of events on earth, the earth stops rotating on its axis and begins heading for the sun. Try finding it on IMDB or Amazon

The motion of people on the Earth's surface is insignifigant, in so much as any expected result of this. The mass would remain the same. Thus, the Earth would not even notice, and just keep spinning. It would be quite the site to see, though!!!!!

The entire earth would stop spinning, causing an electromagnetic imbalance in the earth's core, and send the earth hurtling toward the sun, causing all of mankind to cease to exist.

peace???????? not really!-i'd say during that one minute cos everyone will be thinking of when the min would be over!
we would be in agreement! at least on that, yay!
many things ( + &-) we wouldn't know of until that happens.very unpredictable.

Not possible, so many are bedridden, sick in the hospitals, just had surgery, cant sit, cant walk, cant move at all.So many are mentally retarted, so many have no legs or only one leg. Have you ever thought of the millions who are suffering.
