I am looking to start this bonified business. I am 16 and a half. I will be funding it with my savings of 15,000. The business will probably break even, and I am just doing it for the expereince and learning. It will also be another thing on my resume. There will be 3 employees, 2000 square foot facility, and 40,000 gross revenu. How much would this affect the outlook a collage has on me. Could I use this to help me get into a good collage? What do you think?

Well, aside from brushing up on your written communication (college, revenue, experience, and bona fide), it's probably not a good idea to just plan to break even. Colleges are very into entrepreneurs, but look much more favorably on successful ones; those that turn a profit (if it's a for-profit venture), or meet their goals (if it's a not-for-profit). When you say "break even," does your business plan indicate that you will repay your savings? What if the business is not successful?

Universities won't be impressed if you went into such a venture without a well developed business plan, and the guidance of a mentor, particularly if it fails.

It will be a good start for you as you'll be gaining a lots of experience. But, this will not secure your seat for going to reputed college. You might have to work on your grades! Try with your business and if you achieve your dream just let me know. I might be next person, who knows?!

You spelled college wrong. But yes there is a possibility it might help. Don't allow it to let your grades drop though b/c of the business. School has to come first.
