Well, lawyers often consider themselves part of a brotherhood of professionals, and if you turn against one, that person's friends in the brotherhood can make life difficult for you.

The better method for going after most lawyers is to turn them in to the state bar, not sue them--unless the malpractice is clear and the damages are there.

Professional courtesy. However, if some lawyer is way out of line, it has been known to happen that a law firm is sued by a client that has retained another law firm. Usually it involves billing issues (overcharging) or ethical issues (malpractice).

They aren't afraid. Why ruin a good thing? They get to sue everybody else and if they are wrong, no harm to them, as we don't have a "looser pays" system like England does - which limits frivolous lawsuits. If lawyers sue each other, then one lawyer must pay, they are not used to that. No worries, democrats will never allow a "looser pays" system here, the lawyers campaign contributions will ensure that never happens.

Because you will never see one who tells the truth whether he is sworn in or not! If it does happen there is always a reason for it and it is usually the fact that they will get their little 15 minutes in the limelight! Rarely if ever will you you see it because the are taking up for a persons rights!!!
