My husband just lost his job, but thankfully it's just the 2 of us.

You shouldn't need any, my wife and I make less, and do well on our own. Of course I am in college so.....

It would depend on the state you live in. Most states do have food shelves where folks in need can go.

If you live where it is cold, you may want to look into heating assistance.

depends on your state i think. i know for a family of 5 you cant make more then 2800 dollars a month. if you dont have children, or a medical problem, i dont think there is much help in that department for ya.. sorry.

I would think by your income you would be at 200% of the poverty level. each state is different and you need to contact/apply for food stamps.

file application with your local Department of Jobs and Family Services. They can give you exact amount. Remember, they may count unemployment insurance-varies by locality.

You don't need food stamps. Cut down and seek part time jobs. There are all kinds of jobs out there from burger flippers to car washes. Go to work.

Why do you think you would be entitled to have the taxpayers subsidize your 1400.00 a month?
