My supervisor came up with this one last week after going to a funeral and noticing how many people in their early to mid sixties were buried in the graveyard.

Anyways, here's her theory:
In order to solve the problem of the baby boomers going on social security and not having enough workers paying in, the government, instead of raising taxes or cutting benefits, is going to start killing people off as they enter their retirement years. This is why so many politicians are pushing for universal health care. They're going to use the experimental drug programs and government managed health care to kill people off.

No I'm not really serious about this. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard this. Either way I thought it would be a fun conspiracy to spread. Any thoughts? Any real (or not) information that we can use to expand this would be appreciated. Mostly I just want to see if my supervisor really did invent a new conspiracy theory or if someone beat her to it.

Specifically, my boss thinks the government is using the experimental drug programs to kill off cancer patients. She personally knew 3 people who died within months of beginning new treatments.

They just got caught.

Also a few years ago they made the lanes on the interstate highways in GA more narrow.
14 feet down to 12
Now that's population control.

Not a joking matter. About 10 years ago, my father tired very easity.
I simple EKG revealed he was having heart problems, more tests confirmed ., he needed a pacemaker.
At the time, he was close to 80.
The placing of the pacemaker went quite well, and he lived another 9 years.
That's 9 x 12 x $ 1280.00 per month ss, which comes to more than $ 100,000.00.
Well, he's my dad, and it was only $ 100,000.00. Big deal. But multiply this times the millions of senior citizens out there......
Seniors living longer is eating up a lot of social security and medicare benefits.
George Bush mentioned this, and immediately was condemned as the man who was trying to steal our social security.
It turns out he was a man of vision.
I'm waiting to see if any senator or congressman has the political courage to address this issue and propose a solution.

If you haven't seen Soylent Green you certainly should. Taken to a greater extreme you should also watch Logan's Run. Either one uses the idea of killing off older people to relieve pressures on society.

Of course, no one is suggesting that as a solution but science fiction writers have gotten way ahead of us on this idea.

when they started the social security program the average lifespan was about 62 and the age at which you could collect was 65, now people commonly life past 70 or even 80, they will eventually raise the age of retirement even more to reflect this change in the average lifespan

people can be funny sometimes and very creative, I have a conspiracy myself to spread, those who win mega lotteries and are young, which seems to be rare, are killed off so they can't collect the whole amount as they cannot give it to heirs.

another conspiracy is that the lottery people won't allow young people to win megamillion jackpots, (I am referring here by the way with publisher clearing house not the state lotteries) i have never seen a young person win the 10 million pots, only smaller amounts.

RRRRR

Go and rent the Soylent Green with Charlton Heston and Edward G. Robinson. It will prove your supervisor dreamed this up.

Wow. Normally I don't pay any attention to conspiracy theories, but this one's actually pretty funny! Unfortunately, I've heard something along those lines before... Sorry!

I don't know that I have ever heard it before, but I think it's awesome. I bet if a candidate ran on that platform, they would at least win the youth vote.
