Many women with PCOS take Metformin and it helps them to ovulate, thus helping them to conceive. I am a woman with PCOS and have been on Metformin for about 4 months, but no luck for me yet. There have been great success stories with Metformin though, especially when combined with Clomid.

i'm on met for almost two months and nothing. i just increased my does to 1500mg. i heard it takes up to 3 months to reglate your period. if it does nothing after 3 months then clomid should be added.
