Sure there are the Log Cabin people. I think the main reason against the marriage thing is that they only last 7 months, not that many hetro one last as long, but here's the deal if they do the marriage thing and then divorce then it will tax our already overburdened social security system and not t mention they could get like health care and stuff like that, but the main reason is it will be taking resources out of the mouths of the "illegal alien" that comes here to better themselves and you don't want to do that. Many senators don't want to either (see last weeks voting record).

They trump everything even home land security. I know a bunch of you may get tired of me posting this, but 1 of 7 catch on our southern borders by Border patrol are from terror sponsoring nations. Also don't forget we must have something left over for the 3 million plus that illegally overstay their visas and hide. They are from all over.

Amazing that non Americans trump Americans--go figure. Will GB and Farve's #2 passing offense be able to beat the Broncos #1 passing defense? Well take care and if in a cold area keep warm and take care. Yes there are a bunch of good gay folks, and will be saved

Not all Gays are Liberal.

There are "Log Cabin Republicans" who are openly gay.

Also,

Not all Gays are for Gay marriage.

My friend, who is an old school Lesbian (over 40), said that "Marriage" is a straight term. She thinks the whole Gay Marriage movement is stupid. Her life is just fine with her "partner" and has no need to be married since they are very happy and think that it would go against her beliefs.

It seems like there really aren't any strongly held sides anymore. You just find the group that lines up with your beliefs on the issues that matter to you most. Example an extremely rich gay man owns a business and is a staunch republican even though they don't support gay rights because they like to give tax breaks to the wealthy. There's fiscally conservative and morally conservative and many shades of grey in the middle. If you only disagree with a group on a couple of issues, do you still associate with that group? This is the plight of the United States citizen, to choose the better of evils.

Yes there are many of them. Not even all conservatives oppose gay marriages. Also, you will find some very religious Christian liberals.

Probably not in the mind of those conservatives who have a religious agenda. Personally, I think they can. My best friend when I was growing up was raised by his gay brother who accepted responsibility for his younger brothers and sisters while the rest of the family did nothing. I found him to be more of a man than those who can't even accept responsibility for their own children and certainly a better role model in that regard.

Not all versions of "Conservatism" oppose being gay. The Pink Pistols for instance.

Yes of course one can be openly gay and conservative. I will restrict my opinions on both matters to prevent flaming, but the idea of being conservative does not mean one must agree with every aspect, as I'm sure if you were to read up a little there may be other things you don't agree with. There are a great deal of liberal people who don't agree with homosexuality. It is all personal choice, and one does not need the label 'conservative' it is merely a category for you to think abroadly.

I am. But, I do not believe in gay "marriage". I strongly believe in equal gay "civil" rights. Marriage is a religious ideology and they have every right to do with it as they please....WITHIN the walls of their church. Not in the political arena. Just as the ACLU has no right distorting the Constitution for their own gains.

Your example makes it seem that everyone who is not a conservative is gay.

It seems that conservatives want to pass laws to outlaw things they don't like. I know two conservatives who have told me flat out that gay behavior disgusts them. So, a person CAN be openly gay and a conservative, but they should realize that they actually disgust conservatives.
