See a therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist?

I myself do not subscribe to that whole business...I mean, who can tell me what is wrong with me or how I should "fix" what is wrong with me if they have never been in my shoes or lived my life, you know? I could be wrong about that (and yes, I have seen a psychologist before, for depression), but for the most part, they are speaking not from personal experience, but from something they read in a book. It seems like all they do is prescribe you meds....

Sometimes you don't see what your problems really are until someone on the outside points them out to you. That's what a good psychiatrist does.

I see one, but I dont discuss my personal life, I just tell her how Ive been feeling. I basically go so she keeps prescribing my meds.*

Yes...it is perfectly healthy to talk to professionals concerning life difficulties.

PS: Contact me in a few years: I will hold a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology. I would love to see you, professionally.
