Are you trying to get a formula for selling your art? I CAN tell you this: WARM color art outsells COOL color art 3 to 1.

"Theme" art grabs groups of people. e.g.: there are seascape people, landscape people, still life people - florals, fruits are big. People like animal art: dogs, horses, wild animals. Some people like architectural art - cityscapes, rusted I-beams and urban scenes.

People that live in "personiality" places like Cape Cod, Savannah, Charleston, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, etc LOVE local scenes.

Me, personally, I like still lifes of "things", copper pots, crystal glasses of water, delftware, that is "realistic" but "better" than real. (See the 18th painter Chardin.

A painting of roses. I collect paintings of roses and I have about 15 right now, 3 of which are my own work. Anytime I go to a art studio, antique shop, or flea market, I always look for paintings of roses. It's a sickness.

Scenic - preferably something soothing, since life is stressful enough.
