Well I know my hub loves Lion king and he offered the name Nala to me a long time ago but I shot it down cuz of that lol

Ava Sands is cute.
Nala doesn't flow with Ava though.
A middle name with Ava should end without an "a"

Ava Elise
Because of the movie, the name "Nala" is always going to be associated with the disney movie. Is that going to be something your daughter will be proud to admit when she is in high school?
She will have to tell everyone
"Yeah, my dad named me after the lion on the lion king.."
If you think a teen girl, or a grown woman won't mind the name, then go for it=]
Remember, she's not going to be married for atleast another twenty years..

No way too repetitive even without the surname in there. too many a's
Ava is better than Nala (so hubby will just have to use it to name a dog one day or something) so I would stick with
"Ava Something Sands"
possibly...
Ava Jasmine Sands
Ava Imogen Sands
Ava Cassidy Sands
Ava Bethany Sands
Ava Bronwyn Sands
Ava Caitlyn Sands
Ava Eden Sands
Ava Ellison Sands
I think a middle name that picks up the a,s or n sounds from Ava and Sands would be your best bet, but not Nala.

Ava is pretty but Ava Nala sounds like a disease of some sort. And she is not sure to get married and she will still be Ava Nala even if she does.

Yes, she'll get married someday, but probably, if you're lucky, not for 21 years or so - she WILL have to live with her name for at least that long. Also remember school kids aren't very nice. Since you asked I like Ava a lot, although I know a LOT of people naming their daughter that. Nala I sorta like. I wouldn't name my daughter that, though. But Ava Nala? I mean together I myself don't think they go together. They just don't compliment each other.
