Because it's easier to be rude when your not face to face with the person. People suck. lol

In all honesty! They may not realize they are being mean. Since of humor varies as wide of sense of taste and smell. The "rude" person may joke that way with his/her friends or family that way. Their one comment is a snapshot of their whole personality. You know what they say you cant judge a book by it's cover.
What may seem like a brilliant flash of wit to you can be the dumbest rudest remark ever to the next guy.
So I hope this makes you feel better. Maybe they dont mean to be rude or dont realize it (most of the time)
Then again some people are just jerks.

No, we are no longer continually rude, yet once you ask questions about even if an (for sure) criminal pastime is fantastic ... you could assume the (glaring) illegality of that pastime to be suggested to you. I guess it's because when someone mean is anonymous, they feel they can get away with it and feel braver to be the rude people they are.

because they are not looking at you face to face. they cam feel like they are better than you but they really do not know anything about you. i always try to b nice unless they say something way out of left field.
