to Robs: Nash wasn't resigned because Mavs new defence wins championships. If you look at the Mavs now they arn't a real defensive beast either right now. Howard, Dirk, Stackhouse, Terry are all offensive players, their two low post defenders, diop and dampier arn't really a threat defensively.
People hate on the Phoenix suns because they know they won't win a championship anytime soon. Suns already had the best roster the last three seasons, yet they still couldn't get their ring. I don't htink people see the Suns as a real contender because they know their style of play is not suited for playoffs. Its great for regular season, howerver, offence wins games, Defence wins championships.

1. The Suns will never win a championship with Steve Nash. Everyone knows championships are won with defense. The Mavs knew it and that's why they let Nash go. After that, at least they made it to the finals. The Suns will never get out of the Western Conference. Don't listen to the media hype. Forget about the regular season. The playoffs are all that matter for the good teams. Why do you think hardly anybody even plays defense until the playoffs? It's a whole differnt game--one that I'm afraid Nash is just not suited for!
2. Steve Nash is over-rated. I hate to say it, since he's such a great offensive talent. But think about it. He was easily only the 4th best point guard in the playoffs last year. I would put him behind Jason Kid (averaged a triple/double), Baron Davis (carried his team in shocking the Mavs) and Darren Williams (strong and tough as nails just like Stockton was). And, don't forget, all three of these guys are GREAT defenders. Also, in a system where the team takes 30 more shots a game than the Nets or Utah, you would expect Nash to win the assists title every year. OK, the shooting % I'll give him. He's lights out; it's insain. But I don't understand how this guy wins the MVP every year. In my mind it's undeserving.
3. Most of their players are fakers, cheaters and cry babies. I saw that play where Horry hip checked Nash into the scorers table. I saw it again and again like all of you. You can't tell me that there was anything wrong with that play. I know Nash flopped, you know he flopped, the other team knows he flopped, his own team knows he flopped. I even heard two coaches interviewed from other teams who said that he flopped. And, then the Suns whine and cry because two of their players got suspended for walking out on the court. What a joke. You knew he flopped and you knew the rules! Grow up and shut up and pay the price! It's not like he close-lined the guy like Raja Bell did to Kobe. That was clearly malicous and dangerous. Then the guy has the nerve to celebrate it! He didn't say sorry! He only cried Kobe, Kobe, Kobe--Kobe this, Kobe that. Talk about passing blame. Come on fess up dude! You know what you did was wrong and totally un-sportsman-like. Would you want your kids to act like that? Talk about no class or respect for the game, for others, for yourself! I really feel sorry for that guy.
4. Their fans are even worse fakers, cheaters and babies. Remember how that Lakers had them down 3 to 1 in the playoffs two years ago. Kwame Brown played like Wilt Chamberlin in the first 4 games. But everybody knows he's a sensitive guy and easily rattled. So what happens, some chick fingers him on a rape accuzation. Then in the last 3 games he plays like Mr. Munster. I was a little suspicious. I wouldn't put if past some Suns fans if one of them made the whole think up in a desparate attempt to change the outcome of the series. I guess it worked. I mean I listened to these people as they tried to back up what Raja did and all, and I just think they are the most arrogant yet ignorant fans around. Come on guys! You haven't won anything yet! How are you planning to back up all the bull that's comming from your mouths? Maybe there really is something to the too much hot sun on the head thing after all. Sorry to say it, but Suns fans are worse than Phili fans--at least Phili fans are real--are honest with themselves--and know the game.
--You know, I liked the Suns when they had Barkley and Dan Marlee. But I just can't have any respect for this current team or their fans!

I know. Suns Rock, but I think that the reason is that we don't have a ring after many years of success but still with no ring and were one of the best teams in the league and people are going to hate the suns more if we dont get one soon before nash retires but if we get one without playing dirty we have more respect is what im thinking.

Because the Suns style of play give people in Arizona and outside of the state false hope of winning a championship.
Remember the OLD TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not jealous of their shitty style of play,
I am proud of my Texas teams, except the rockets they need to get rid of Yao, he has taken them nowhere but home in the 1st round.
To Lilfishi22, the mavs defense has improved alot more when Nash left, so your comment to Robs is irrelevant, because the mavs have at least been to the finals without him, also beating the spurs to get there, when was the last time the suns beat the spurs.

because there a lot of people like you that dont know anything about basketball,
basketball is not only about great offensive plays, great passes, and anything suns do.
its the whole aspect of a game that everybody should know, that every team needs defense.. and suns dont have it.
plus i hate to see cry babies.. look at your coach!!

because they dont have any rings.
you need rings to have respect.
thats why even when boston was down in the craphole, people still bought their stuff, because they are a storied franchise.
also, phoenix is not a big NBA market.
LA and NY are.

maybe theyre mad because a canadian is the best PG in the league? but really, i guess people dislike phoenix because they are upset their own team isnt as fun to watch. or because they way phoenix wins is not by defense but by offense and goes against tradition or something like that. i love watching phoenix.
