Okay, well I've always had this problem where most of my friends thing I'm dumb. It's really annoying because if they say something its funny or okay or just oh we all have those moments kind of thing. But when I say something people are like wow, your dumb... or your stupid like seriously your retarded. My best friend will do that to me and it's embarressing when she does it infront of people for just a minor example: the other day in class this boy thats actually kind of cute was saying something and he was lipping it and i was just liek whaat? I really didnt know what he was saying anyone wouldn't he wasnt making sense and my bestfriend was watching obviously knew what he was saying and was like omg! shes SO retarded, like seriously! and not only is she my best friend doing this to me its embarressing cause I make better grades then everyone who laughed at it when she said it. and i dont want to fight with them over somehting like that its just I can only take it for so long.

Well when she says that tell her yeah your right it's just that i focus all my attention in getting good grades while other people focus on putting other people down.

Tell her...
Stupid is what stupid does. and say it with meaning....it's suppose to be funny, I think it's a line from Forrest Gump.
If she says OMG you really are stupid, what's that suppose to mean? Tell her "you're stupid".
People can usually dish it out but can't take it, she needs a good dose of her own medicine.
I know you don't want to fight with her, but hey, she's starting it. Tell her, if she continues to call you stupid you will have to call her a hypocrite.
And let her know she really doesn't want to continue the name calling because it's starting to make people talk about her and calling her rude and how stuck up she is. That will get her goat.
Oh, and one more thing, about that guy in school trying to lip tell you something....
I think he wasn't saying anything at all, just moving his lips trying to fake you out.
I'd watch him close if I were you. Did others laugh at you about this? if so, you can assured he was playing around with you.
Don't sit there and try and read his lips or you can reply back by "lipping him" read my lips then pause, get his reaction if it looks like he got your message, "lip read him again and say".... "I want to plant a big kiss right on your face". See how it takes that one. I think that will put a stop to him trying to make himself look cool and get a laugh on your behalf.
I would not allow any so called friend of mine to call me stupid. stop her now, let her know you don't appreciate it and if she doesn't "listen" you'll just have to show her how it feels. You can do it with kindness, "just joking around".

I think if she was really your friend she wouldn't do stuff like that. Real friends don't make fun of their friends. I make good grades too and I have been made fun of it. I just imagine 20 years from now, I'll be making a difference and they will be working at a fast food place .

Well for one thing youn eed to re consider calling your so called freind your best freind ,,because she isn't . From reading what you wrote she enjoys embarrassing you just as much as anyone..With freinds like her you do not need enemies.
Just ignore them ..they know it bothers you so don't let what they say bother you at all..They will soon stop when they realize it doesn't bother you anymore.
Or the next time they say anything to you tell them to get a life

You just need to exclude her from your social circle. It's obvious she's not your friend. And the next time she parts her lips to call you stupid, simply reply, "I must not be that stupid, cause I make better grades than you do."

ok first of all you have a mean 'best friend.' next time she says your dumb tell her that you don't think you're stupid and tell her to stop saying it because it makes you uncomftorable. i would just tell them off. this is totally wrong and is bullying.

well first hting is you should let your friend know it bothers you and if she still does it she is not a friend ,and if you know your not stupid who cares what other poeple think .....you have the grades to speek for you
