Can someone tell me why he would want this story pulled?

probably cause he is tired of looking like the hypocrite he is by trying to advocate for the poor yet surrounding himself with the rich and ignoring the poor. Sort of like when he declared himself in New Orleans only to turn around and lose face when the people discovered he owns part of the companies foreclosing on New Orleans victims homes.

Because he doesn't want the real story to get out that he really doesn't care what the poor think so long as they vote for him.
