Well, there are animals that feed on blood like mosquitoes and leeches. And technically, humans can consume blood. But if you mean vampires in the "don't like garlic/undead/sleep in coffins during the day/can't see their reflection", science has yet to uncover the existence. So, until Count Dracula, Lestat, Angel, and that chick from Underworld show up on National Geographic, I'm going to say those types of vampires do not exist.

In a way they are. They are not the kinds you see on movies though. Its vampirism. It is where a person like you or me thrives blood and gets nutrients from it. There is also a skin disorder. where u enable vampirism. That is actrully why they cannot stay in the sun to long. These people have pointed teethe.hinting the fangs and really do crave blood.

I was going through old files of mine and found a File on Psi-Vampires. I have, over the last few years, gotten deep into philosophy. Through my studies in philosophy I, as well as other philosophers, have come to the conclusion that humans are reaching a new intellectual and spiritual level. When I came across my old file i came to this conclusion: Psi-Vampires are the next step in human intellegence and spirituality. The problem is that they have not reached the level realize the philosophical nature of the world and of the universal mind. Therefore they coined themselves Psi-Vampires due to the spiritual abilities they have awakened that are similiar to that of the mythology of vampires. There are many levels of human intellegence and spirituality that we can attain.
On blood drinking vampires. The myths surrounding them come from, most likely, medical disorders and psychological disorders. Since the people did not understand those orders they used superstition to explain it. They would also use those same susperstitions to personify their fears which are much easier to deal with when they are personified and have some way to deal with them.
so in a sense blood drinking vampires are real as they are the medical and psychological disorders that people did not understand. there are also the psi-vamps.

I don't think so. It would definitely be interesting if they were. I dated a girl for a few weeks once. She told me her and her friend would go out at night and slay vampires. She really believed they were real and she was doing her part. I still wonder how many poor people had been attacked by her and her little stake. What a loony.

Well vampires are the product of a misinterpretation of a disease by the medieval people.
The disease made the gums shrink and the the canine theet to jut out.
The ill people acquired a very pale skin tone and get very sensitive to the sunlight so they usually only went out at night.
So the healthy people tought they were possessed by demons and that they suck blood for living.
Some people actually drink blood hoping to live longer and to stay young forever.

they are not real. its sad they have tried to get them real through the years. there was and is a castle and they talk about it. but there were no one like that. they do now say there are people that do drink blood and stuff i personally think they are nuts. but actually there is no vampires it is just a good story that someone made up back years ago and its tuck every since. take care.

Vampires are real... kinda anyway... they are a group of people who drink human blood there was also a real man named Count Dracula. he was apparently a really freaky guys to... only going out at night, drinking blood... some say he slept in a coffin made for him while he was sick at some point and got better.

they are a reality to those who choose to believe or choose to practice the rituals believed to bring about the thirsty nature.
but really i think they are more of a concept thought up and have since been romanticized by popular cultures media and social events throughout the centuries.
