Ecstatic on one hand because I do want a child! But terrified on the other hand, because my husband and I are both still in college and aren't really ready for a baby yet. I would be willing to become pregnant right now, except for I do NOT want him to drop out of college. He's dreamed of being an engineer since he was a little kid, I can't let him give up that dream now. But he's the kind of guy who would immediately want to go out and support the baby and me, whether it was necessary or not. I just wish we'd hurry up and get done with college already, it is dragging on forever and we still have a long ways to go. I want more than lots of kids, and I want them before I turn 30 because health risks for mother and child both increase by when you get pregnant in your mid-to-late thirties. So we'd better get cracking, I'm already 21 and college is going to take probably at least until age 25... drat it all!
