Because the liberals want us to all believe we cant get along without them. but to admit good news is to admit their failures. So report on the bad so we will believe them when they say we need this or we need that. they expect us all to blindly follow.

Why don't you look more closely at those statistics? If you do, you will find that many people are working at temporary or part-time jobs. Also, there are those who have given up looking for work completely and are no longer being counted. How many of those people have been laid off from higher paying jobs because their jobs went overseas and are now working at less than half the pay? That's what you should be really looking at, not the numbers. As for certain types of jobs such as nursing, the reason this field is in demand is because of the high turnover rate. Nurses burn out because of the heavy workloads, the crap they put up with from doctors, and the general lack of respect for their profession. Also, that's not one of those jobs you can just walk in off the street and get. This type of job takes years of schooling and another thing to think about is that foreigners can easily be brought in on L-1 or H1-b visas to work them and they are often willing to work for less money.

Unemployment is low right now. Anyone who does not think so just google "bureau of labor statistics".

A lot of people think there are no jobs because they are not prepared for the jobs that are available. For example, nursing and pharmacy are 2 areas that are dying for help.

If you are not prepared to fill the available jobs you won't have a job...it is that simple. We are not owed jobs. In fact, we have muscles in our chests to breathe with because we are not even owed our next breath.

If you didn't hear it from the "liberal mainstream media" then how did you find out - from some "underground" conservative secret magazine or newspaper? By the way, do your research. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would see that the vast majority of media owners are conservative corporations and business people. WHy do you think Rush is on so many stations?
