Yes, actually just this past week. I had just come home from working a double shift and I was super tired. I had just gotten into bed, when I heard this loud explosion and saw some greenish-blue sparks fly by my window. My first thought was "why the h*** are the neighbors setting off firecrackers in October??" So I got out of bed to see what my neighbors were up to and saw this orangish glow coming from the back of my house. I ran through the house and into the family room, which faces our backyard. There is a fence in our backyard that separates a row of houses on the other side of our yard. Just beyond the fence was a big shed that was on fire. I screamed for my husband to come see what was going on and ran to tell him. He came back and saw it and I called 911. The fire was burning so hot and so close that we could feel the heat through our patio door even though it was closed. We got dressed and ran outside because the fire was really close to our garage, which is only a few feet from our house. It seemed like it took the fire department FOREVER to get there, even though they are only about a block away from where we live. But they got there and put it out, and it was completely out within an hour. The shed was completely destroyed and they're aren't sure what caused it. The neighbors weren't sure if anyone even lived in the house on the property where the shed was. Thank goodness, there was no damage to our garage or the house next door to us. It was a scary experience though!!

no. the last time I was ever in a fire drill I was about 7. When I was in my late 20's the bank where I worked did have a fire not far from where my office was (and the sprinklers did a job on the papers on our desks), and everyone left at their own pace and stood on the sidewalk outside for a few hours watching one office go up in flames from something someone put in a wastebasket.

Sort of. One time sophomore year someone put a Pop-Tart in a microwave without taking the wrapping off. Needless to say, something bad happened.
