i have moved further into being liberal thanks to all the opposition i see that is the opposite of wwjd

the hateful remarks, lame excuses, total evasion of the question with relevant content have made me see the far right for what they really are

the more thumbs down i get, i realize that i must be doing something right

i do think a part of that is that i have a female avatar
the male avatars don't get beaten up as badly

i guess the far-right hates women too

what is ur experience?

Yeah there is a lot of meaningless hate mongering and useless parroting of propaganda. Might as well listen to two people fight about who is better Yankees vs Red Sox

I seldom take much I see on here very seriously.
Occasionally I see something that makes me think and verify but really do you take these people serious.
Several of these guys are school kids doing their homework.
Most don't know how to use spell check and can't construct a proper sentence.

Some ask decent questions but just look at what has been posted in the last 1 hour.

If I got upset over thumbs down or rude and argumentative answers I would probably move on.

I could honestly careless about thumbs down. I don't even use that feature. I just ignore. If people are rude, obnoxious, and insulting me I just block them. Plain and simple. A quick fix to the problem. Besides, it's the Internet, there is no need for me to take extreme measures. So, I just block and move on. If they are insulting me or making racist comments, I will report them.
It's actually fun when there is a debate. What fun is it when everyone agrees with you. As long as other users engage in a respectful debate, things are fine. But I have to admit, the biased beliefs and party bashing is really irritating and it kills t he yahoo experience.

"the more thumbs down i get, i realize that i must be doing something right"

So what your saying is the more people that tell you your wrong.. the more correct you feel??? You're the only sane one in a crazy world aren't ya.

I read your previouse questions... very few people "dodged" any of them. They simply gave you an answer you didn't agree with. Last time I checked that wasn't "question dodging".

Also your avatar doesn't have anything to do with getting "thumbs down" on your question.. It has to do with you having no idea what your talking about.

Finally, stop crying about being a women.. nobody cares what sex you are.. they care about what you have to say.. plus this is the internet.. you could be a fat male english teacher from Columbia University for all we know.

As a 'far-right' conservative who doesn't hate women, I have no problem with your right to your own opinions.

I am sure you can click the mouse on the thumbs down icon as easily as anyone else - no matter what side of the political fence you are on.

However unlike you, I am not moving farther toward my direction because someone on the other side exercises their right to disagree with my answer. That seems a little silly to me.

Regarding WWJD, we are human and incapable of emulating His perfection. That is why He died for us, so what He would do is different from what we would do.

Regarding female avatars vs. male avatars... What does it matter if the opinion is from a female or male. If one agrees or disagrees with someone, that's all there is to it.

I enjoy the thumbs down. I usually get hate e-mail at least a couple times a month. But I stand firm on my views and won't remove my e-mail address from my profile.
However, I have never have been blocked.

There are so many political nut cases on both sides that post questions or answers here that thumbs up or down are really meaningless.

No, my political beliefs cannot be influenced by people that I do not see and who might be communicating from the mental ward or their parents basement. Beside, I have seen rudeness from all sides.

Absolutely.

I expect people to disagree with me.

When they become impolite, I know that I have won the argument.

As to WWJD, be very careful to understand what Jesus would do.

All of Jesus' "peace love, turn the other cheek" was for individuals to practice in their daily walk with God and their fellow man.

It is NOT intended to be applied to the government when it is dealing with State affairs.

God, Himself, expects the Govrnment to intercede on behalf of the innocent and afflicted.

They will be held responsible, by God, for their success or failure.

That means that they can go to war to secure the safety of their people.

They can execute criminals.

They can take violent action that casues the death of innocent people.

In disasters, they can shoot, without trial, looters and other criminals that threaten the security of the people.

Jesus is peace and love, but, when he comes again, he comes with a sword.

There are consequences that are just.

Read the Book.

I've been around long enough that it would take more than a 'thumbs down' or 'up' to affect my own opinions. However, I usually don't like to answer hateful, bashing questions. It's my personal opinion that Democrats are more intellectual and philanthropic, while Republicans are less educated and much more greedy! (Get those thumbs ready!)
