I would like to know your honest opinion about my theory on how to prove that God exists. If God created everything from the earth to man and then created us in His image, how then can we not see creation itself. If our parents created us, their parents created them... so forth, then how is this in relation to ALL of the theories to how we got here. Whether by Darwins theory, to Organized Religions, Creation had to start somewhere. Our calendar started with Christ.. is this a fact? YES! 2007 AD (after death, BC= Before Christ) From as long as we know this calendar basis, who then did Christ try to prove He was from? Now if we can base our calendar and watch clocks off of this event of the death of Christ (which Darwin even lived by), then how can we not believe that His message was so important? Creation, proves that God exists, our timeline proves that we base our days off of Christ. My Faith shows Creation exists.

I don't see a viable theory. You seem to turn your suppositions into "facts" to prove your theory. Your faith proves only that you believe your theory. Good for you.

Not all cultures base the year on the birth of Jesus. Check China, Japan, several middle east countries, and most of the rest of Asia.

What is commonly used is called the Gregorian Calendar and wasn't widely used until the 1500's. It was nothing more than a modification of the Julian calendar. It was developed by an Italian doctor and Pope Gregory XIII decreed it in about 1582 by Papal Bull.

The years were marked AD - which means anno Domini (not after death) from the traditional BIRTH of Jesus - not his death

The reason it was developed was because the Julian calendar was too long, the equinox fell on different dates and didn't jibe at the end of the "year". The Gregorian Calendar solved that problem.

So, while the Catholic Pope decreed the calendar, it was not used by non-Catholic countries and still isn't in many places. It is used uniformly in commerce and business more for convenience by much of the world....not because they have adapted it in their own country.

If you do a little study on calendars, you would see that the birth of Christ has little to do with it. It was an arbitrary year selected by the Catholic Pope but many non-Catholic European countries, including England, didn't adapt it until the 1700's - and then not fully. There are still countries who have adapted teh solar portion of the calendar but not the lunar.

So, no, it doesn't prove the existence of god or anything else. It is just an efficient way of marking the passing of time....like a clock...only on a solar year.

Your theory does not prove God's existence. Of course, God does not want us to be able to prove he exists. This get rid of the need for faith. Faith is absolutely important.

You can ignore anyone who claims evolution is a fact. It is a theory that does not explain the beginning anyway. Evolution still requires a first cause. Of course, this would be God.

The ancient Egyptian text others speak about are far from the Christ story. The similarities are inconsequential compared to the differences. The Jews were the first to have a monotheistic religion with an all powerful God. The Egyptian stories had many gods with little power.

Finally, Jesus absolutely did exist and there is no real question about this. It has been proven time and time again from extra Biblical sources.

Oceanremix, the truth is we can never prove God even though his Word has given us evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that he exists and is active today. Of course, his greatest gift to us is free will and therefore allows some to make up reason he does not exist.

You have proved that you need to do some research. Your so called theory is no theory, it simply proves you want to believe so bad that you make up anything and believe anything.

Christianity has so many apologists around that it is amazing. Why are they apologizing for their belief? Do they have to defend was it so obviously untrue?

Our earth and our universe has been around for eons, so to speak. Do you actually think the human species is so special within this universe? If so that is ridiculous. The universe does not see you as special and does not recognize any specific entity that created you. Consider the satellite dishes - have they ever found the g--d that is claimed in the bible? That is the one that lives in or above the clouds!

Your perception of time and your viewpoint is so far away from actual facts that it needs to be reviewed by something other than your religion.

you should read the egyptian book of the dead. It was created before the hebrew bible and undisputably before "christ" ever came into existance as we know him.
If you read it you will see a character exactly like christ 12 disciples, walking on water, curing the sick, feeding the poor...in a document way older than the new testement...
my current opinion of christianity is that it is based on old dead religions and is false hope---and that there is basically NO proof that christ even existed.
Anyway, all we can really know for sure is that which we do not know, so i don't claim to have any answers, nor do i really want any.

ad does not mean after death if bc means before christ. what happened to those 33 years whilst jesus was alive?? ad means anno domini ok so the year of his arrival. jesus was believe to be born 11 september 3bc. so work the numbers out.
as for god look around you, he is everywhere !! he created it all and there are the miracles as you can see. i am glad your faith is strong, may it bring you happiness forever. your theory lacks the past and the history of time. the old testament in the bible commences before the arrival of jesus. jesus never tried to prove anything he only spoke of the kingdom of his father and to die for us, thus becoming the sacrafical lamb, and teaching us the world the gospels and the meaning of love.

Allright bonehead. first off, our calendar is not the only calendar in existance, the chinese calendar,(which doesn't reference god) and the Jewish calendar(which doesn't reference christ) are about 5,000 years old, just a little older than your christ calendar. and second of all, if you haven't heard of a little fact called evolution (not a theory called creation) you might comprehend that man has changed over the last hundred thousand years. dude, grow up.

Aesity means self-existence. Aesity explains the metaphysical nature of God as a purely self-existent being that exists in complete actuality. God is not a being that is created by another god; neither does God create himself into existence. Rather, God has always existed as an unchanging, completely actualized being.

God has his Being of himself and to himself such that he is Absolute being and the definition of existence.
Since God’s essence is his nature and God’s existence is the same as his essence it follows that God is existence.

I'll bet 10 to one odds that you don't have a good job! On top of that I think your theory
is 100% wrong.....I believe in God as much as any but you're a little too far out for me.

A.D. doesn't actually mean after death, people just assume that because B.C. means before Christ
