What's wrong with my itunes gift certificate?

i got a $25 gift certificate at apple store and it worked fin at first, but then later it said i had 14 dollars left, and then when i would buy something it would say i have 20cents left, and it says the card is expired but its not, an i think it could possibly be refering to my previous credit card that i used to buy songs a year ago, any help?thanks

contact someone at the apple strore. if ur in the state of californa, an expired gift card with money still on it is against the law.
