I have several Wedgwoon plates, one of them has a brown stain of some sort on the white moffit is there any way to clean it without causing damage?

Soaking in a bleach solution should remove any stains and not damage the plate. Use a quarter cup bleach in one gallon of water to start.

Geez, Patrick is nuts...no steel wool or dishwasher. Here is how I clean mine. I spray them with Fantastic spray cleaner, use an old toothbrush and rinse good.

Scrub them with steel wool and put them in the dishwasher.
