I'm talking about real music, like Common.
Who do you think is the most respected rapper in the music industry?

To all of the people that wrote something negative about rap, why are you here in the first place?

It's called the Rap and Hip Hop section for a reason!

There are lots of MOST respected Rappers and Hip-Hop artists. It all depends on where you're from, they are judge by BEST IN THE WEST...and etc etc. From Coasts to different states to even different cities.

Westcoast (California)...well we play a different role than anyone on any other coast. We break it down into who's the best in each city, because the Westcoast does not only have a single genre, we do not just have Rap or Hip-Hop music. We got Hyphy and more.. In Sacramento..we do gangster music. X-Raided, C-Bo, Zigg Zagg, Brotha Lynch Hung, Luni Coleone aka Lunasicc, Maravaless, and so on. In They Bay Area they have a mixture of Hyphy and gangster rappers such as E-40, Luniz, Mac Dre, Yukmouth, B-Legit, Cely Cel, Spice 1, Locksmith, Clyde Carson, Mistah FAB, Too $hort and more. Down in LA area they have Dr. Dre, Snoop, Game, Eazy-E, Tupac (from both LA and Bay Area) and more...

South (different southern states)...UGK, MJG, 8-Ball, Outkast, and many others. Also Lil Wayne..even though his punches are simple.

Midwest (different states)...Bone Thugs and Harmony, Mo Thug family, Do or Die, SpeedKnot Mobsters, Twista, Kanye, Common...and many more.

East Coast (different states) KRS-ONE, Immortal Technique, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Nas, Biggie, Rakim, Jedi Mind Tricks, Wu Tang Clan..and so on.

You get my point. But yea there really is no best, every style everywhere is different. They also have their unique style and rhythem which creates their different levels of lyrical and poetical skills.

Aight this is a good question and I know im bout to get a million thumbs downs but im gonna speak my piece.Different regions has different rappers they respect.Like down here Common is not really respected dont get mad at me thats real.About like Wayne gets no love in the East. And to the girl that said Cham he ok but half the people round here that Paul outrapped him every chance he got so in Houston he might b top of the line but New Orleans he not there.Alot of my people including me RESPECT SCARFACE,AND UGK.But as far as a rapper not from the SOUTH in New Orleans at least TUPAC GETS THE MOST RESPECT.
